Christian Praise: The Horse and Rider Song Lyrics
Someone was asking me for the lyrics of the Christian Praise song “The Horse and Rider Song”. It’s very difficult to find this song on the Internet so I am writing the lyrics here for you and made a .wav file of my acapella version.

The Horse and Rider Song
I Will Sing Unto the Lord For He Has Triumphed Gloriously
The Horse and Rider Thrown into the Sea
I Will Sing Unto the Lord For He Has Triumphed Gloriously
The Horse and Rider Thrown into the Sea
The Lord, My God, My Strength My Song
Has Now Become My Victory
The Lord, My God, My Strength My Song
Has Now Become My Victory
The Lord is God and I will praise Him
My Fathers God and I will E-x-a-l-t Him
The Lord is God and I will praise Him
My Fathers God and I will Exalt Him!

I was dreaming, woke up and part of this song popped in my head. I knew it was something from the Holy Spirit–all I could remember was “horse and rider…in the Sea” so I googled and found your lyrics. I see the rest of the message the Holy Spirit was trying to reach me with. Thanks! I couldn’t quite remember the tune…so there you go–I can go to drive to work singing this in thankfulness for our mighty Father God!

Hi Nancy
I’m so glad you found our site. I am not a dream interpreter or anything like that, but if the Lord gave you this song during a dream then I would think that perhaps He is trying to tell you not to worry about your situation that you will be victorious in whatever is bothering you. Just thought I would pass that on.

Hi– It is a great song. I plan to use it in worship this Sunday and was trying to find copyhright information– found this site. It is published in Songs of Praise Volume 2, puiblished by Servant Music, South bend, IN, back in 1977. However, the songwriter and copyright were unknown at that time. You can try ordering from Servant Publications, 27 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601. I honestly don’t know if they’re still in operation, however.
